The material execution is what defines this shoe entirely and what separates it from any standard all-black retro in Jordan Brand's history. The upper is built across three distinct animal-inspired texture zones — snakeskin-embossed leather on the side panels, ostrich-grain finish on the toe box, and a gator-style texture wrapping the heel counter — each material applied in Black and Off Noir tones that shift subtly against each other without introducing any contrast color. The effect is a shoe that reads as completely blacked-out from a distance and reveals its full material complexity only up close — depth and luxury communicated through texture rather than color, the way the finest leather goods operate.
