The Nike Air Foamposite Pro "Mummy Duck Black" is the retail-original counterpart to the Phantom PE — a colorway that was never given to Oregon athletes, never worn on a football field, and never existed as a PE at all. While the Phantom brought the exact locker room experience to public retail for the first time, the "Mummy Duck Black" is Jordan Brand doing what it does best with PE concepts: taking the DNA of an exclusive design and rebuilding it in a completely new palette that carries the same storytelling with an entirely different attitude. Where the Phantom reads as eerie and athletic — ghost grey on a championship-caliber Ducks program — the Black version reads as something darker, more aggressive, and unmistakably Halloween. The concept is the same. The energy is completely different.

The construction mirrors the Phantom's architecture while the colorway substitution transforms its character at every level. A Black polyurethane Foamposite shell replaces the Phantom grey across the full molded upper — the same sculptural surface, the same structural zones, but now absorbing light rather than diffusing it, turning the shoe into a blacked-out canvas that makes every accent land with far more visual impact than the lighter base allows. The duck feather stripe pattern molded directly into the Foamposite surface returns — raised texture within the material itself, structural rather than graphic — but on the black shell, the feather pattern reads as shadow and depth rather than a visible print, revealing itself progressively as the shoe catches different light angles. The glow-in-the-dark duck feather detail activates fully in UV and low light, the pattern that was subtle in daylight becoming the entire visual story in the dark — the most dramatic day-to-night transformation in the Foam catalog this year. The Swoosh outline carries the mummy bandage-wrap material treatment from the Phantom build — textured overlays referencing cloth wrapping that frame the lateral and medial Swoosh with the same eerie character reference executed in dark-on-dark rather than against a lighter ground. Barely Volt hits the Swoosh fill, lace hardware, and collar trim — the single electric accent in an otherwise fully blacked-out build, landing with the neon intensity that only a near-black canvas can deliver. The bright green glow-in-the-dark outsole activates alongside the feather shell, the green underfoot completing the full Volt-and-black Oregon color story from the ground up.
