Zion Williamson’s Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Voodoo Alternate” revisits the cult-favorite 2022 “Voodoo” with a darker, more supernatural palette and nearly every handcrafted-looking detail that made the original so unusual. Regency Purple, Vapor Green, Black, Dark Raisin, Daybreak, and Light Silver spread asymmetrically across suede, linen, canvas-like textiles, and rough burlap-style panels, making the shoes intentionally mismatched from one foot to the other. Irregular exposed stitching traces the forefoot and Swooshes, braided rope laces reinforce the handmade aesthetic, and a tiny Vapor Green reverse Swoosh appears near the lateral toe. The tongue labels are deliberately inverted, as are the Wings logos on the heel. Those heel patches go further: they’re removable, revealing bone-like “Voodoo/Zion” lettering underneath. A stitched voodoo-doll graphic near the lateral heel and playful custom insoles extend the New Orleans-inspired storytelling established by Zion’s first pair. The original 2022 release became one of the most sought-after Zion-associated Jordans after disappearing from retail, giving this Alternate considerable expectations before it even arrived. Rather than simplifying the sequel, Jordan Brand preserved the exposed seams, flipped branding, mismatched construction, removable elements, and folk-art character - then shifted everything into a more nocturnal Purple, Blue, and Black arrangement that feels like the original concept after dark.
