The Air Jordan 4 Retro “Reimagined White Cement” brings back one of the four original AJ4 colorways with an execution intentionally pulled closer to the 1989 pair. Despite early “Reimagined” reports, the finished release avoids aged treatments and material swaps, instead recreating the original through premium Summit White leather, Black detailing, Fire Red branding, and the unmistakable Tech Grey cement speckling across the TPU wings, midsole, and heel. Even the black Nike Air heel lettering receives the original-style speckled treatment, a small detail absent from certain previous retros that matters to collectors chasing accuracy. The overall shape is equally important: Jordan Brand uses its revised AJ4 construction with proportions inspired by the original ’89 build, giving the toe and profile a noticeably more vintage appearance than older retros. Nike Air returns prominently at the heel, while the Fire Red Flight tongue patch provides the perfect flash of OG color. “White Cement” has appeared only periodically since 1989, with major retros arriving in 1999, 2012, and 2016, and each generation has differed in shape or branding. Its cultural history stretches beyond basketball too - the colorway famously became part of Do the Right Thing through Buggin’ Out’s unforgettable scuffed-sneaker scene. The 2025 edition brings all of that history back in one of the closest modern interpretations yet.
