The adidas Yeezy Knit Runner Boot 'Sulfur' is the high-cut extension of the Yeezy Knit Runner silhouette that debuted as a low-top slip-on in September 2021 — a boot conversion that takes the Knit Runner's foundational textile construction and extends it upward past the ankle into a full boot height with an added closure system, arriving two months after the original and completing the Knit Runner's fall/winter presence as a two-silhouette family. The construction is built on the same sculptural shape as the Knit Runner low — the Foam Runner's distinctive organic profile translated entirely into textile — but with the addition of an extended collar and a two-way velcro fastening system at the lateral side that replaces the pure slip-on entry of the low-top with a secured, adjustable closure appropriate for the boot height. The full upper is constructed from a woven knit textile in a two-tone execution — a khaki-toned knit runs from the extended collar downward through the leg and collar zone, transitioning into the Sulfur yellow base construction that covers the shoe's lower profile and forefoot in the same warm yellow tone as the original Knit Runner. Sculpted structural zones at the Achilles heel, midfoot, and toe are engineered directly into the knit construction for durability and shape retention, preventing the textile from collapsing in the highest-contact areas. A herringbone-patterned rubber outsole provides the traction base — the deepest and most aggressive outsole profile in the Knit Runner family — with a thick, heavily lugged geometry suited for cold-weather terrain rather than the lighter-duty flat sole of the low-top.
