The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Flight Club" is part of Jordan Brand's 2026 Flight Club series - a themed collection honoring the original Jordan Brand Flight Club, a mail-in membership program that operated through the late 1980s and early 1990s and gave its members exclusive Michael Jordan merchandise, newsletters, and posters at a time when access to Jordan Brand content required a physical mailing address. The series uses Jordan Brand's foundational silhouettes as vehicles for nostalgia-driven storytelling, and the Air Jordan 1 High OG carries it with the deepest historical justification - as MJ's first signature model, it has the most direct biographical connection to the Flight Club era. The upper is built from black woven textile rather than the AJ1's traditional all-leather construction, the woven surface providing a textural, vintage-adjacent character to the base. Contrasting Sail stitching outlines every panel in a hand-drawn quality that connects to late-'80s fan culture aesthetics. Corduroy texture lands on the mudguard, eyelets, Swoosh, collar overlay, and heel overlay, layered over black nubuck underlays that add material depth throughout. University Red hits the Wings logo at the ankle collar and the Nike Air tongue branding - two of the AJ1's most identity-defining details, now in Bulls red.
