The Air Jordan 10 Retro "Sacramento" is the rarest retail opportunity in Jordan Brand's entire 2026 holiday calendar — a colorway that has waited 31 years for its first retro and is finally getting it on December 5, 2026. Originally released in 1995 as part of the landmark Air Jordan 10 "City Pack" — a series of five colorways paying tribute to NBA cities that defined MJ's era: Chicago, New York, Seattle, Orlando, and Sacramento — the "Sacramento" was the most visually distinctive of the group from the moment it dropped. While every other City Pack pair wore a white leather upper, the "Sacramento" was the only black-based entry in the entire series — a dark, regal colorway that referenced the Sacramento Kings' black and purple identity and stood completely apart from its four siblings. Thirty-one years later, it remains one of the two City Pack colorways that has never been retroed — and the one the community has tracked and requested the longest.

The construction is as faithful to the 1995 original as any AJ10 retro has delivered in the current era. A tumbled Black leather upper covers the primary surface with the dense, premium texture that defined the City Pack's elevated material spec — richer and more substantial than standard smooth leather, giving the all-black palette the surface depth it needs to read with presence rather than flatness. Smooth leather overlays on the midfoot and toe box provide a material contrast within the blacked-out upper — matte versus slightly sheen, the same tonal depth that makes the shoe work at close range. Dark Concord purple lands on the inner liner and outsole — the Kings' regal purple appearing exactly where it should, visible in flashes as the shoe is worn rather than dominating the exterior.
