The Air Jordan 3 Retro x FTY Free The Youth "Multicolor" is the Holiday 2026 collaboration between Jordan Brand and Free The Youth — the Ghana-based creative collective founded in 2013 by Jonathan Coffie, Kelly Foli, Winfred Mensah, and Richard Kweku Ormano, and the first African brand signed to a formal Jordan Brand partnership. The AJ3's construction is built on a Black primary base — tumbled leather and elephant print foundation consistent with the standard specification — with Pink Prime delivering a gradient across the toe box and lower panels that transitions through the midfoot toward rich purple as it moves rearward. The color shift from pink to purple references the gradient dye work associated with West African kente and batik textile traditions. Purple elephant print wraps the toe and heel overlays in the AJ3's signature textured pattern, rendered in the collaboration's secondary purple rather than standard grey or black. Clear Jade — a vivid turquoise green — appears at the eyelets and collar lining as the colorway's most unexpected accent. "FTY" branding in mint green replaces the standard Nike Air text on the heel spine — the most immediately legible collaboration detail, the acronym sitting in the exact placement the Nike Air wordmark occupies on standard AJ3 releases. A black midsole and dark sole unit ground the vivid upper from below, and a visible Air-Sole heel unit completes the build.
