The Air Jordan 4 Retro x J Balvin "Multicolor" is the fourth sequential chapter in J Balvin's ongoing run through Jordan Brand's early signature line — following the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 2, and Air Jordan 3 — and the most visually maximalist canvas the collaboration has worked with yet. Balvin debuted the shoe on stage during his seven-hour Ciudad Primavera homecoming concert in Medellín, Colombia in November 2025, the AJ4's paneled construction making it the most architecturally suited silhouette in the early Jordan lineup for the kind of zone-by-zone color storytelling that has defined every Balvin x Jordan release. The retail pair is the multicolor build worn on stage, not the "Lemonade" all-yellow version that circulated in early reports. Pale yellow, golden yellow, seafoam green, ocean blue, brown, black, and crimson red are distributed across the AJ4's distinct upper zones — toe box, vamp, wing eyelets, mesh panels, and lace cages — each panel carrying its own color in a distribution that reads as intentional chromatic composition rather than randomness, pulling from the warm tropical palette Balvin has maintained across every Jordan collaboration. A pre-distressed midsole with marble-like detailing adds material depth at the sole level, and a mini Swoosh appears on the orange midsole section near the toe — a detail that photographs rarely capture clearly but reads distinctly on-foot. Nike Air branding lands on the left heel tab in Metallic Silver, and J Balvin's signature upside-down smiley face logo appears on the right heel tab in the same Metallic Silver finish — the dual-branded heel detail that confirms the collaboration's identity without requiring any additional text on the upper.
