The SoleFly x Air Jordan 5 is the Miami boutique's most technically ambitious Jordan collaboration yet — and it arrives as the first time SoleFly has ever worked with the Air Jordan 5 silhouette, following a collaborative history that stretches back to 2014 and has touched the AJ1, AJ3, AJ8, AJ10, and AJ12. Every SoleFly x Jordan project carries Miami's identity — the energy of the city, the colors of its culture, the spirit of its founder Carlos Prieto's vision — but this one pushes further into the shoe itself than any prior SoleFly release has gone. Where most boutique collaborations customize the palette and branding and leave the construction intact, the SoleFly x AJ5 introduces a first-of-its-kind wrap-around lacing system that physically changes how the shoe functions: the laces route through the upper, wrap around the heel, and tie at the front — a structural deviation on a silhouette that Tinker Hatfield designed with his own unconventional lacing ideas in 1990, making the SoleFly modification feel like a continuation of the shoe's own experimental DNA rather than a departure from it.

The colorway executes Miami's palette with restraint rather than volume. A Black Anthracite and Off Noir suede upper gives the AJ5's oversized silhouette a stealthy, darkened character — deep, textured, and deliberately understated — that reads Miami without announcing it loudly. Aurora Green appears on the tongue Jumpman logo and internal branding details — the exact saturated green of the Miami Hurricanes color palette that SoleFly has worked with across previous collaborations, now applied with surgical precision rather than as a dominant color story. Orange interior lining completes the Hurricanes color reference from the inside, a detail visible only when the shoe is worn or held open — the kind of identity marker that belongs to the wearer rather than the observer. On the lateral heel, "SF" branding replaces the traditional "23" — one of the most meaningful and lasting changes a Jordan boutique collab can make to its canvas, and one that cements SoleFly's name directly into the AJ5's most prominent identity zone. Nike Air remains on the heel tab — preserved, not replaced — and a translucent Muslin outsole completes the build with the AJ5's signature semi-clear rubber finish. A custom SoleFly hangtag and special packaging close the full collector presentation.
