The Awake NY x Air Jordan 6 “Playful Pink” brings Angelo Baque’s expressive design approach to the iconic Air Jordan 6 through a vibrant, multi-tonal palette and premium material construction. Building on Awake NY’s previous pink Jordan collaborations, this interpretation uses several shades of pink across individual sections of the silhouette to create depth rather than relying on a uniform monochromatic finish. Playful Pink suede covers the heel counter, collar, and rear saddle, establishing the richest and most saturated tone in the design. Shy Pink and Arctic Pink extend across the midfoot, overlays, laces, and surrounding panels in progressively softer shades, creating a layered appearance that emphasizes the AJ6’s distinctive paneling. Infrared 23 contrast stitching runs throughout the upper, adding sharp definition between the different pink sections while directly referencing the classic Air Jordan 6 “Infrared.” Additional Infrared detailing appears along the midsole and visible Air cushioning unit, preserving an important element of the silhouette’s original design language. Perforated TPU quarter panels provide a technical contrast against the suede construction while incorporating Awake NY’s signature script “A” logo in a subtle watermark-style treatment.
