The Nike Air Foamposite Pro "Mummy Duck Phantom" is one of the most coveted Oregon Ducks player exclusives ever produced — and Holiday 2026 marks the first time it has ever been made available to the public. The shoe was first revealed in September 2025 when Nike gifted the University of Oregon football program a custom Foamposite Pro PE alongside matching Vaporposite cleats ahead of their "White Out" matchup against Penn State — a game the Ducks won in overtime with two touchdowns and a game-sealing interception. The shoes stayed locked in the locker room after that, never touching public retail, which meant the only people who owned them were the athletes who wore them on the field. That exclusivity built the kind of quiet hype that rarely arrives loudly — and the "Mummy Duck Phantom" has been one of the most requested PE-to-public releases in Foam culture ever since.
The construction is the most detail-specific Foamposite Pro Oregon has ever received — and the Phantom colorway is the OG PE version, faithful to what the players wore on gameday rather than the darker alternate. A Phantom grey molded polyurethane Foamposite shell covers the full sculptural upper in the cool, muted grey that gives the colorway its name — not white, not silver, but the specific desaturated grey that reads like athletic wear approaching an eerie costume. Across the shell, a subtle duck feather stripe pattern is molded directly into the Foamposite surface — texture raised within the material itself rather than printed on top of it, a manufacturing technique that makes the pattern feel structural rather than graphic. The feather detail glows in the dark — the entire pattern activating under UV and low light in a glow that reveals the duck identity of the shoe in an entirely different register than daylight allows. The Swoosh is outlined by mummy-style bandage-wrapped material — textured overlays that mimic cloth wrapping framing the lateral and medial Swoosh, the one explicit character reference in the entire design, executed with the same restraint that makes Oregon's best PEs last beyond their original context. Sequoia Green fills the oversized lateral Swoosh, referencing Oregon's signature color with the deep, forest-dark green the program has made iconic. Barely Volt accents thread through the lace hardware and collar trim, and a bright green glow-in-the-dark outsole activates alongside the feather print when the lights go down — the shoe's full Halloween character only visible in darkness.
