The Nike Air Max 95 Big Bubble "Greedy / What The" is the most colorway-historically dense release in the Air Max 95's 2026 calendar - a concept first introduced in 2015 to celebrate the model's 20th anniversary and sometimes called the "What The" 95 for the same reason designers call multi-colorway mashup shoes "What The" across the Nike catalog: it packs the accent colors from four of the Air Max 95's most iconic original colorways - Neon, Grape, Solar Red, and Bright Mandarin - into a single shoe with mismatched color distribution between the two feet. Sergio Lozano's 1995 design remains the construction framework: a graduated grey gradient runs the anatomical layered side panels, dark at the toe graduating to lighter grey toward the heel, with the wavy panel stack running the full lateral and medial profiles as the silhouette's most immediately recognizable structural feature. The "Greedy / What The" color story distributes the four original colorway accents across the upper zones with different colors on each side of each shoe - the eyelets, netting, toe cap, and collar picks up Neon yellow on one zone, Grape purple on another, Solar Red and Bright Mandarin across the remaining hits - the color logic being intentionally asymmetric and intentionally "greedy" in referencing every major colorway simultaneously rather than committing to one. Premium hairy suede replaces standard suede on the toe and side panels in the 2026 build - the most material-specific upgrade over the 2015 original - giving the wavy gradient panels a tactile depth that the original release's smooth suede did not provide. The 2026 version also upgrades the midsole to the Big Bubble Air unit - the larger, more voluminous visible Air specification with the seam running its circumference - the single most significant mechanical distinction from the 2015 retro.
